Banchory Lodge Hotel

We loved it and recommend the place. The room was newly remodelled and stunning, had comfortable beds and amazing views. The location was riverside, peaceful right by Banchory town centre. We had incredible meals in the hotel; visited The Douglas Arms based not far away.

Its tastefully decorated with very big beds and fantastic views.

The room was super spacious with a bed that felt mad really like a fluffy cloud. The modern bathroom had nice bath products. The view from the breakfast room was beautiful! Breakfast had good warm options and there was plenty of parking available.

The Lodge is a perfect spot for family adventures! We had a fantastic time exploring the gorgeous surroundings, including scenic walks along the River Dee, which our teens loved. The rooms were spacious, and the hotel had a charming atmosphere.

In my wife's opinion, the breakfast could have offered a bit more variety for families with children.

Couldn't recommend more for a short stint

Friendly staff, comfortable room, the bed was the comfiest bed I think I've ever slept in with some chocolates waiting for us, and the breakfast was stellar, thoroughly enjoying the fantastic setting by the river where we watched fish jump and cows grazing in the field.

Nothing, all great

The room was comfy with a four-poster bed and a great view. Little touches like proper tea cups and a variety of coffee options were nice. It felt warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing stay, but it did lack a bit of heating when I first walked in. Well laid out and clean, just a tad chilly at first.

I had a wonderful 2-night solo trip. The spot by the river Dee is just amazing, and my room was super cozy and clean. Staff were really friendly. The restaurant had such a nice vibe with lovely views, and dinner was tasty. Just wish breakfast had more options.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat

First, let me tell you, the view was lovely, sitting by the window with a glass of wine, watching the river flow by while indulging in some amazing fish and chips. The staff were not just polite, the young waiter was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, even recommending the Sancerre, which hit the spot perfectly.

It wasn't exactly pocket change, but for the quality we received, it felt fair.

The lovely decor in the dining area made my heart sing, with its contemporary charm blending perfectly with those plush armchairs where I could sip my tea while enjoying the fine river views. Absolutely good!

Improve accessibility to upper floors.

The views were absolutely stunning, overlooking the river 🌊. Our room was cozy and clean, which was nice. the bar prices felt a bit too high for what we expected.

Perfect location for outdoor adventures like cycling along the railway or fishing in nearby rivers. The character of the place added to our experience, and the friendly staff made sure we were taken care of. Clean, comfy rooms complemented our stay, and the food met our expectations too.

Bicycle rental available near the hotel. Room was dated with a squeaky bed. Dinner had great local produce. Friendly staff made us feel welcome.
